About the Gathering
A place to remember, connect and move forward together.
Honouring Their Spirits is a two-day community gathering focused on remembering those we have lost, supporting those who are grieving, and strengthening healing, hope and resilience within our communities.
Through guest presentations, cultural activities, ceremony and community connection, we will create space for conversations around grief and traumatic loss, suicide prevention, violence, family resilience, culture, identity and healing.
Mental health and cultural supports will be available throughout both days.
What to Expect
Two days grounded in care, culture and community.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided both days, including a traditional meal during each two-day gathering.

Remembrance Wall
MLCN Band Members and community members are invited to submit a photograph and short memory of any loved one who has passed for inclusion on the Honouring Their Spirits Remembrance Wall.
The wall will offer a respectful space to honour those we carry with us. You do not have to attend the gathering to make a submission.
Family Remembrance Photography
A photographer will be available during designated times for families who would like a remembrance photograph together.
Mental Health & Cultural Supports
Support people will be available throughout the gathering. Participants are welcome to step away, take a break or access support whenever needed.
Join Us
Registration is free and completed individually.
Local transportation will be available for participants who require assistance. Request transportation when completing your registration.
The first 150 registered participants at each location will receive a swag bag.

Some topics discussed during this gathering may bring forward emotions related to grief, loss, violence and trauma. Mental health and cultural supports will be available throughout the gathering. Participants are encouraged to take breaks and access supports as needed.
